The 2008 U.S.-Japan topical workshop on Progress of Multi-Scale Simulation Models is a part of The Joint Institute for Fusion Theory (JIFT) program aimed to enhance U.S.-Japan fusion research collaborations. The JIFT objectives are to advance the theoretical understanding of plasmas and to develop fundamental theoretical and computational tools and concepts for understanding nonlinear plasma phenomena. The 2008 JIFT workshop will follow the 50th Annual Meeting of the Division of Plasma Physics and it will be held at the same location (Hyatt Regency Dallas, 300 Reunion Blvd., Dallas, Texas 75207). The workshop will consist of oral presentations that are approximately 35 minutes long.
