Transportation: The Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA) is located approximately 12 miles (30 minutes travel time) from the two hotels, which are in the downtown area. The airport's web site has lots of information.
Ground transportation between ABIA and the hotels is conveniently available from the lower level baggage claim area, via either shuttle service, taxis, or rental cars.
Parking on UT Campus Nearby parking is available on the UT Campus at Parking Garage No. 1, located on San Jacinto Blvd. just south of Dean Keeton Street, on the north side of the campus (PG1 center-left of Map 6). This parking garage is next to the Texas Memorial Museum and about one block from the ACES Building (top left corner of Map 5). The daily cost at the parking garage is $6.

Driving from the DoubleTree Club Hotel to the UT Campus
The DoubleTree Hotel is located on the southeast corner of I-35 and Martin Luther King Blvd. (MLK). From the DoubleTree Hotel, drive north on the one-way frontage road that parallels the interstate, past the traffic signal at MLK. Continue on the frontage road past a stop sign at Manor Road and past the State Cemetery (on the right-hand side), to the exit on the right marked with a sign for the LBJ Library. This exit will circle 270 degrees to Dean Keeton (formerly 26th Street), going west. (This exit off the frontage road is less than a mile from the DoubleTree Hotel.) Go west on Dean Keeton, driving under I-35, and continue through two traffic lights (at Red River and at Robert Dedman Drive) to the 3rd traffic light, at San Jacinto Street. Turn left onto San Jacinto. Look to your left for a large blue sign with a "P", for parking. This sign is at the entrance to Parking Garage No. 1 (PG1). Turn left at the blue sign into the parking garage. Take the ticket and park. If you have any questions, there is a UT Guard Station just beyond the parking garage entrance.
After parking your car, walk west across San Jacinto to W. 24th Street, which is perpendicular to San Jacinto. Walk west on W. 24th to the ACES Building, which will be on the left side of the road, at the southeast corner of W. 24th and Speedway Street. Speedway will be the first cross street that you come to.
The distance from the DoubleTree Hotel to Parking Garage No. 1 is 1.6 miles.
Driving from the LaQuinta Hotel to the UT Campus
The LaQuinta Hotel is located on the northeast corner of W. 11th Street and San Jacinto. At this point, San Jacinto is one-way going south. From the parking lot of the LaQuinta Hotel, drive east on W. 11th to Red River Street. Turn left and proceed north on Red River. Turn left (west) on Dean Keeton (formerly 26th Street). Continue west on Dean Keeton and continue through one traffic light (Robert Dedman Drive) to the 2nd traffic light, at San Jacinto Street. Turn left onto San Jacinto. Look to your left for a large blue sign with a "P", for parking. This sign is at the entrance to Parking Garage No. 1 (PG1). Turn left at the blue sign into the parking garage.
